A Fork in the Public Safety Road:

Retribution & Cruelty or Accountability & Repair

Our community is under extraordinary stress.  In less than two years, local efforts to introduce restorative practices such as hospital-based violence intervention programs and crisis intervention teams have been grievously undermined by Operation Charlotte’s Web, Iryna’s Law, and the Criminalization of Homelessness.  We can do better. We must do better.  Let’s reassert Charlotte community values.  When we gather, we will explore accountability and repair of harm and identify how we can do better.

Join us in person for this crucial debate about the future of public safety. It's a chance to explore tough questions and consider new directions.  Registration is free and available soon.
